Terms of Service

Last updated: April 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NumID's identity verification platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Description of Service

NumID provides a privacy-first identity verification platform that allows third-party applications to verify user identity attributes without direct access to personal data. The Service includes API access, SDKs, a developer console, and related documentation.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must register for an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable Algerian laws and regulations. You shall not:

  • Use the Service to collect or store personal data beyond what is authorized by user consent
  • Attempt to circumvent the zero-knowledge verification architecture
  • Share API credentials with unauthorized third parties
  • Use the Service to discriminate against individuals based on their identity attributes
  • Exceed your plan's usage limits without upgrading

5. Pricing and Payment

All pricing is denominated in Algerian Dinar (DZD). Free tier usage is subject to monthly limits. Paid plans are billed monthly. Overage beyond plan limits is billed at published rates. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice.

6. Data Processing

When processing identity verification requests through your application, you act as the data controller and NumID acts as the data processor. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate user consent before initiating verification requests.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. Enterprise customers with SLA agreements are subject to the terms of their specific agreement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Algerian law, NumID shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your access to the Service will be revoked, and we will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data retention requirements.
